These are some really good cookies. It's a type of cookie where once you buy Crisco (shortening) and Cream of Tarter (they both last for a long time and aren't likely to be used up with other things)......it's usually likely that you have all the ingredients on hand if you need/want to whip up a batch.

After eating THREE for breakfast this morning, I remember why I don't make them too often, though. :/:

SNICKERDOODLES

1c shortening (Crisco)
1-1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
2-3/4 c flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt

Mix together in order given.

Roll 1” balls of dough in cinnamon/sugar mix (3 Tblsp sugar + 1 Tblsp cinnamon) and set 2” apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 – 10 minutes @ 400ºF
