This is a 1982 model with a chainbrakeIs that a chain brake, or just a hand guard? When did they start putting brakes on saws?
Cool before and after refurbishment thread!
No AV would be a deal breaker for me
I might fire it up for a tank of fuel every so often, but I couldn't go without av either. My first poulanpro didn't have av. No problems when I first got it, but after awhile, I'd really feel it after running it a bit. Fingers would buzz for an hour or two afterward. Probably not a huge deal for occasional use, but I wouldn't want to risk permanent damage.
I'm pretty much immune to these little to no av saws I've been running 2 series since the 80s lolMy Pullin Pro Wild Thing will tingle your fingers. I fire it every 6 months of so. Makes me grateful for my better saws.
Good find Czed. Cool to run one of those and see how far tech progressed.
I have modern saws but I always go back to the 266sThe 266 is a fine saw, ahead of it's time really.
