That's horse power. And the vast difference between a Vermeer 252 and a 652. I can only imagine what it must be like running an even higher HP machine.
The last stump we timed was 22 minutes for a solid 30” Norway maple. That’s 22 minutes from the time we arrived and left. No clean up aside from filling the hole back in.
My stumper is 65hp so 45” is about twenty minutes to 8” below grade. I prob would have charged 250 plus 250 for clean up. I don’t do dirt as a general rule unless they are paying well.
Give them the high esti and see if you can do it under that price. Stump grinding is expensive and hard on machine, you have no idea how many rocks you are going to hit.
Just rent the bigger machine and get them all done at once. I did 80 stumps in 12 hours size range was 12" all the way up to 90" with most of them in the 24-36" range. That day sucked but good money.
More HP makes the stumps go away faster. I started out using a 25hp machine and moved to a 65hp machine and the difference is black and white. A 24" stump with the old machine would take around half an hour and the new machine does the same stump in under ten minutes easy. HP rules stump...
