Kinda, I saw it online , Ive been looking for this kind of mill for years and it was a good price I think so I jumped on it. I have access to so many logs it just makes sense.
Just picked this up (pun intended). I hope it will be a great help for our post and beam enterprises. 55 HP diesel isuzu motor and can cut an 8x12 can't in one pass

Also I feel like $2k is a steal for that log, 1 cant imgine finding a log 1ox12 at that length let alone transport and mill it.

What would you do with such a timber?? Surely it cannot support itself and a roof, a ridge beam maybe. Somebody with WAY too much money will buy it so they can boast about it rather than build smart.

Starting to really enjoy my mill. Starting a new project, addition for the kids rooms as we have a 1200sq' house with 2 beds and a boy and a girl.
Milled this poplar log and got 23 3x8s for the floor trusses.
Do you think its going to effect 6x6 oak to make it ineffectual as cribbing?? Please say no as that shit was heavy and I don't feel like lugging it all out again:|:

Needed some cribbing for the crane so threw a couple of odd pieces off white oak on the mill.Trying to dry it out some before the wood stove goes out for the season:lol:
