Cool, what's happening just all the fixes? Will it help to solve the not having to delete old threads thing?

Flashchat box on the forums page is blank when no one is there. It does show my name when I logged in to chat, though, so no biggie.

so theyre not going to give back the new thread button
?
one would think that to be a bit silly, no? seems like a step backwards when the software takes the buttons away and makes you troll through all the sub forums looking for new posts?
you can go to the new posts button in the tool bar but still id rather the other button

01-29-2008, 07:33 PM

Ya'll hear about that shopping mall size asteroid that zoomed by us last night? (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/main.jhtml?view=DETAILS&grid=&xml=/earth/2008/01/28/sciasteroid128.xml)

That's just it, they've been harping on the schoolbus sized satellite but just last night was the first I heard about this asteroid.
Paul B
01-29-2008, 10:53 PM

I have to say that yes, the button for 'new posts' is in a different position but the fact remains that all the functionality is still available, and the forum still works (if a bit slow, as usual).
Butch is working with what he has, and what WE HAVE is a great site.
I for one am willing to give the forum a break, are any of you guys willing to give a bit?
Complaining will only create a bad situation.

How about the edit capability for old threads? Can you do that now?
This little quick reply box is a bother.
And I'd rather have the new messages button, too.
But I haven't gotten any weird messages since the so-called "upgrade", so I guess that's an improvement.

Up in the upper right hand corner, Gary? To the right of the TreeHouse banner?
Not the one under New Posts on the "task bar" under the banner.

Looks like a go, Butch. The edit button is there on that Dent thread. I'll try to load a pic or two back in...is there a time limit for us to get the pics edited in?

Butch if it's any help as I understand it the 'unread posts' button is some type of a 'fix' or option. Musta got wiped out in some of the maintenance, I'd think it wouldn't be to hard to put back. That said I don't mind the toolbar dropdown thingy, unlike others I'm finding that it works quite quickly.

The reason I mentioned in my last post about it being a 'fix' is that a snowplowing forum that I frequent at times was asking for suggestions and that button under your name is one of the things that I recommended and the administrator there said he looked it up on vbulletin? and he wasn't interested in implementing it. Heh ya can only help those willing to help themselves right?

Did we lose the Olde TreeHouse? I don't see the link to it.
I need some info from the Andersonville thread.
