the idea I knew, the spelling, not so much. It is evening in Poland now right? It is about 1:40pm here where I am, a bit early to raise a glass of anything alcoholic. Here are a few links I use for insects and such, some are regional, some not as much.

one major insect pest in my province of Britich Columbia Canada and a number of USA states is Mountain pine beetle (Dendroctonus ponderosae)
http://www.for.gov.bc.ca/hfp/mountain_pine_beetle/facts.htm
Also Asian longhorn beetle, emerald ash borer, oakwilt and dutch elm disease...

Thanks for the link. In Northeastern Pennsylvania we've got Woolly Adelgids (http://www.invasive.org/browse/subject.cfm?sub=289) on our Hemlocks and Gypsy Moth Caterpillars (http://www.forestryimages.org/browse/subimages.cfm?SUB=165) on everything else.
