Nick,
Do you have any information on this winch line?

Just got this from Yale:
Hi Frans, thanks for the customer request.

The Yale Ultrex http://www.yalecordage.com/html/pdf/industrial_marine/high/Pg23.pdf is made from Dyneema fiber and is a single braid so it’s easy to splice. Most common sizes for chipper winch line is 5/16 and 3/8. Standard color is Yellow.

5/16” – 13,500 lbs tensile
3/8” – 20,000 lbs tensile

I think Bishop has it in stock if you’re interested in a local vendor.

I can send you a small sample to the PO Box listed as well as a catalog.

It was nice to see you in Hartford. Call me if you need anything.

Best,
Jamie

It splices really nice. The other thing I would consider is the covered version of this line, it might last a little longer while getting dragged through the mud.

I'm going to post some info in a little bit about a new Yale line that will be WAY better than either of the already mentioned lines. Stay tuned.

You have to hold your horses until I get (not even released yet) data sheet. Maybe the treehouse will be the first to debut this rope!

Stay tuned... :)
