A new series on AMC about a chemistry teacher that finds out he has terminal C so to make some quick bucks for his family he uses his skills to cook the best meth ever invented.
It looks interesting, I've always liked that actor.

Thats the guy out of Malcom in the middle, bit of a change of chracter for him then, I thought he was pretty funny in that should be good.

I'm just slightly tweaked about the 'man doesn't have a life until he starts breaking the law' thing. I guess it's not the worst thing that kids see on tv, though my wife's students are already asking if she can show them how to cook it.

That show comes on later and is meant for adult viewing. I wouldn't let "kids" watch it.

I have my concerns also like that cooking meth will be looked upon by viewers as being more mainstream and not just done by tweakers. I set my TV up to record it next sunday in case I forget to watch.

you can do that?:what:
Anyone else watch it? I haven't formed a solid opinion yet.....I wonder where they can go with it.
Definitely for an older audience....luckily my 16 y.o. son wasn't sitting next to me during the scene where the wife was doing work on her computer and her husband at the same time. :O

I have Dish Network DVR that I can record it on. And yes Mr. Oregon I have learned how to use some of the features on it. It wasn't necessary because I happened on it about half way through and they showed it again right after. I thought it was pretty good. He looks killer in his tightie whities. I won't say anymore for those who didn't see it.
SOTC, I know this is a long way from you but my stepdaughter moved to Portland yestrday.

I missed the cancer bit though.
Seems like a good show, I liked it. It has potential to rival FXs network shows which have all been good.

I was a little disappointed also. Some of the stuff was a little unbelievable like how he could pass out at his second job go to the hospital and get a diagnosis of terminal cancer all in one afternoon and without his wife and kid finding out. Pretty clever the way he gassed those guys. Another thing I thought was a little stupid was that the Fire Dept. would drive right by an accident to go to a grass fire without having at least one unit stopping to make sure everyone was OK. I know we have to have some dramatic license but jeez. One thing that I thought was very realistic was how the buyers right away being career criminals were going to prey upon the sellers because they were amateur criminals.

It reminded me of that Mencken quote, "Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, raise the black flag, and start slitting throats. " That Michael Douglas movie, Falling Down (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106856/trailers-screenplay-E12431-310), too.

I thought the janitor getting busted was interesting because it showed how there could be unintended consequences to innocent people. As soon as he started asking his partner's friend about the distributor I was thinking "is Walt going to have to go over and take care of this guy"?

The pic quality is better, but I only have tube TV's so of now, so how much better and how much HD content there is I cant say. I can view the HD channels now, but I couldnt with my old service, but this may have been the box.
Comcast has WAY more free on demand though, Im pissed about that, plus they were giving stuff away on the QT. I had free HBO, insane download speeds, they werent charging us for boxes/modems.
Sigh.....
