I remember him growing up also in them advertisements to. Kind of corny but they stuck in your head.

I remeber those commercials, from way back in the day when we had TV. RIP
Incidently, I learned only yesterday that the whip-wielder in the movie The Rundown was Mr. Whipple's son.
