Well honestly? I'd rather have a couple more saws, but I am into heat. I have a steam shower already, thing will burn your skin right off if you're not careful! But from what I understand these sauna thingies aren't supposed to not get really hot but still induce alot of sweating? We'll see.

Ive never been into saunas too much. I just cant stand sitting in there sweating my arse off. Ive tried a few times, but Im more of a hot tub kinda guy.

The trick with a sauna is you need to shower first, and work your way into a full cold shower. After that, hit the sauna. You'll get the most out of it.

This unit will round out the complete home spa, hot tub, steam shower, sauna. 8)
Apparently my wife says it makes you sweat without heating you up drastically, we'll see?
I rarely use the hottub but steam pretty much everyday, love it!

MB, I dont live in the cold part of the province that Squish lives in and today was +3C and raining all day. a sauna is a nice thing. I prefer to get in, get sweaty THEN hit the cold water, cleans SO much crud out of your pores it is scary. but heck, to each their own. Eh. :)

Sure, that works just fine! All I'm saying is the colder you can be going in, the longer you can stay and the more the therapeutic effects will kick in.

My Mom & Dad have on in my Dad's office in their house. My Dad likes it.
I have never used it & have no desire. I sweat enough at work.
Did your wifes purchase have anything to do with a amped out 361 or 066?

I had one of these several years ago.

It was great, and very low maintenance, but I got bored with it after a year. Luckily some friends of mine were willing to take it off my hands for what I owed on it.

Yup that's like what I got http://www.beachcomberhottubs.com/ I'm not big on hottubs but my wife likes it alot. To me it's sort of like a big bath and I don't like baths either. Ocassionally when it's really cold out it's a nice place to chill.

Thought I'd update the sauna arrived at the beginning of the week, no pics yet as the camera is floating around in my truck somewhere, been meaning to get some pics of the snow. Anyhow I like it the thing gets a good sweat on. You do get warm but it's not like a excrutiatingly hot heat more just soothing and the sweat pours. It really wipes me out I think I've got alot of toxins and crap built up in me since I left the bush.

hit the sauna, get sweating and hit the cold shower. or the snow, instantly closes your pores and you can wash the yuck off.

for christsakes, I have been losing sleep waiting for the pics of your new sauna. Neat little trick here. Walk out to the truck, get camera, walkback to house while taking pictures of snow, go in house and take pic of sauna and post away. hope this helps

Lol, hit the snow, reminds me of a couple of years back with some relatives visiting and ripping 'er up in my hottub. They jumped out to roll in the snow............well our little dog don't like to venture to far into the snow to do his business, you can guess the rest  . Needless to say they weren't allowed back in the tub!

Cats are tough they can take a little roughing up.:/: Ah I'm a old softy that cat usually winds up snuggled up to me on my bed at some point or other in the night. Good beast that one, took to the no litter box no problemo, scratches at the door to get out.
Oh yah and Gunth, he don't trust no one, just the way I like it!
