I was impressed with what they sent Andy. I seriously doubt any would use all of it in a year.

A free set of muffs, a set of neck hanging plugs with replacement plugs (not sure how else to describe them) and ten pair of, I believe, seven types of regular ear plugs. It's a bonus package, I swear!!!!

Might be a trick to innoculate you with a microbial brain-eating virus that'll influence your vote in November to favor the GOP and open the door for Satan to take over the world. Wait, that already happened when they sent everyone a free subscription to TREE SERVICES magazine.

Andy probably sent in a picture of his thumb so they HAD to send hearing protection for his co-workers.They prolly figured he'd be screaming and cursing again sometime in the near future.:P

Well, their ya go!
I got a nice orange box with a load of ear goodies. Because I buy my stuff from a safety supply company, I donated the box to the CAA climb comp. It made a great prize.

Just got a call from the lady at Howard Leight. She wanted to know how the goodies they sent were working out, and did I want any more.
I talked to her, and mentioned that the QB3 headband hearing protectors transmitted sound straight into my ear when they get tapped.
She said they had never thought of that and the product developer would see if they could fix it.
Nice folks, and a hellva nice freebi.

Any stiff headband for earplugs will stethoscope sound to ears i think.
i wear them on back of neck or under chin; depending on where i can elude such contact. i like the Sherrill ones; because they are even more discreet/smaller; so less chance of contact of outside sound/vibration.

Spidey, pay attention to the NRR. It will make a difference in the long term.
I think you are wrong in saying that it is not possible to fix this problem of transmitting noise through the stiff headband.
Their must be a solution, and I bet it will be fixed at some point
