My 4 email addresses (nick@splicesbynick.com, nick@treecarela.com, nickaraya@gmail.com and nick@treeclimbingcalifornia.com) are all done via gmail and I love it.

The google phone thing could be cool. I'll wait and see. They've had some not cool things.

Yep, it is what I use for our business. Gmail is very slick, very powerful.

I have skype on my computer, but I have yet to take the time to figure out how to use it. After the enormous phone bill John got last month from calling the bahama's, we will learn. hahahaha

You won't regret it Gigi. Saves me tons of money on the LD calls.

exactly. free from computer to computer video or audio calls. CHEAP calls from computer to phones and if you are really techie, Skype is available as an app for many cell phones too. I am currently debating Blackberry vs iPhone vs Android at the moment, my current plan is up in November.

I did buy a number from skype with a Yosemite prefix for incoming if the customer wants. But mostly since some people would not answer my call with out me showing a local number on their caller ID. A consideration to say the least.

My son has a gmail phone number of some sort. Dial it and it transfers to his cell phone and rings. If he chooses to not answer, the voice mail you leave is converted to text and he then can read the message on his phone. Pretty cool.

If he ever changes cell providers or changes his number, no need to notify anyone. They still dial the same gmail number and he continues to get the calls.

That could be handy for business purposes...

Aren't we going to run out of phone numbers one day? According to my math, there isn't even enough for every person to have two phone numbers...

meta tags are a good place to start, also I believe you can register with search engines.... hire a 12 year old to do your site up for you, betcha they are way swifter than most of us at html coding etc. :D
