Tech Vec / Tech cord splicing

Has anyone spliced the Allgear Tech Vec 3/8 or the Allgear Tech Cord 5/16?
How does it perform as a friction hitch?

I have. It works just fine. I did long crossing tails which made the cord a little thicker. Somewhere between 5/16 and 3/8.

locked brummel on both sides.
