frits is part of the french term for french fries, 'pomme frits' if I remember back to highschool french properly.

We just call 'em plain ol' 'chips'. Mind you, I've been here long enough now that I do find myself calling 'em 'fries' on occassion. Oh my God, what's happening to me??? :what:
